The Undoing Series Finale comes undone on HBO

The Undoing - Series Finale

Pre-Season Finale Power Rankings

#1 Top prospect: Hugh Grant / Jonathan - painted as most guilty which means he might not be. Mother calls on Skype and basically describes him as a sociopath related to his younger sister getting hit by a car.

#4 Nicole Kidman’s Character - innocent or innocent like a fox?

#6 Henry - The Son of Nicole Kidman and Hugh Grant — found the hammer in his violin case, seems pretty obvious he knew - as he woke up staring at his mom.

#2 Top prospect: Husband of Elena - flimsy alibi

#3 Donald Sutherland - seems possible he knows much more than is being painted

#7 Other Dudes? Seems random

#5 The Principal Theory — hell of a call — not even “red herring” territory in the lead up

#8 Elena’s Son? There’s a hot take - Miguel Alves

Dream a little Dream of Me as a theme song is terrible in general - and definitely not great for a murder mystery series

Wow - the hammer in the dish washer routine ???

Hugh Grant throwing his son under the bus as a suspect - this is gonna be an interesting hour

Donald Sutherland - wants this thing over - i think he’s got motive

Are they ever gonna address Nicole Kidman’s “quasi clairvoyance”?

The Tuxedo - took it to the dry cleaners on the way to Lake George — DA had that wry smile like she had the ace up her sleeve

Hailey the Defense attorney calls Miguel to the stand!?!?!

Miguel told his teachers - that he was scared when his parents argued

Donald Sutherland’s eyebrows are a character unto themselves

Grace Fraser (Kidman) takin the stand - seems like an invitation for a turning point

The 911 call — on the cross examination — not a good look.

Is Grace trying to get her husband on the hook? What was her lawyer friend’s role in this?

An interesting - “bait & switch” - since he probably did this, that’s a good thing for “justice” but - they let Grace essentially perjure herself as the big reveal?

I wanted more twists and turns than a narcissist saying “I didn’t do it” in a believable way.

Road Trip! Instead of going to court. There’s a twist I wanted! OK! But there’s 3 minutes left guys

Do they usually let the civilians ride in the helicopter?

Do they owe the bail bondsman $8million now cuz Jonathan fled?

Wine, Wall & Dragons - Season 8, episode 6 podcast

Game of Thrones Season 8

Wine, Wall & Dragons Season 8 Episode 6 - the Series Finale

the recurring line of the night was some variation of - they don’t get to choose, she doesn’t get to choose, etc. — in some ways i think that’s appropriate to all the people filing petitions about re-doing Season 8 to HBO. The fans we don’t get to choose. We get to watch.

Tyrion Finds Jamies and Cersei and cries about it

Dany gives Fascist dictator speech in either Dothraki or Valayrian or in Unsullied/Astapor language. We get it. She’s a menace now.

Why doesn’t Dany kill Tyrion as soon as he throws away his “hand pin”?

Arya “Jon you’re a threat to her, you’ll always be a threat to her. I know a killer when I see one”.

Between Tyrion and Arya - Jon’s getting a lot of negative feedback on his Aunt/Paramour/Queen. “love is the death of duty, duty is the death of love”, Aemon Targaryen.

Dany walking up to the Throne, which is so similar to what I think was a dream sequence in like season 2 or so — pretty awesome. Still held out hope for her in some way shape or for at that moment, but as soon as i saw Jon’s shadow in the arch way -  i figured it wouldn’t end well. (drogon covered in snow).

Dany takes one more crack at the old we could be lovers Jon - and he’s like dude really, we’re still in episode 73 going to try to make the incest angle work? But he takes that opening and he stabs Dany while they embrace. Bold move.

Dany’s story has three betrayals. Once for love, once for blood, and once for gold. I think last night night Jon’s actions were the betrayal of blood or love. Could be either.

Why didn’t Drogon burn Jon? (Some are saying it’s cuz he “Can’t be burned like Dany” — i feel like they would’ve shown that at some point if that were the case.

Drogon melts the iron thorne to nothingness. Very symbolic maneuver for a Dragon.

The 3 best spinoff ideas i’ve heard… Arya’s adventures “West of Westeros”, Tormund and Jon in a “buddy cop type show”. I think if Tormund were the main character and Jon was around every few episodes… that’d be ideal.

The Arya spinoff show would be amazing. Arya comparisons to Columbus — let’s not do that to Arya.

Edmure Tully with the weirdest flex of ALL-TIME - at the council meeting trying to make the case for his “kingship”. Bro you’ve been gone since season 6 and were a prisoner of the Frey’s for 3 seasons before that… HAVE A SEAT. You might want to sit the next couple of plays out, Champ.

What happened in Las Vegas? To all the money gambled.

#1) the iron throne is melted down to nothing so nobody sits upon it. #2) Dany had it before Jon killed her 3) Bran is the King of the 6 kingdoms and 4) which means Sansa is a queen in her own right?

Sam: Let’s have a democracy? Brings out the LOLZ from the nobles.

Tyrion essentially makes Bran “the Broken” a King. Bran’s like yeah i knew it! Bran the Broken - not a great nickname for a king.

Also, how about the progressive north finally coming around to a female ruler full-time — nice work Sansa

Bran giving the North “independence” — that was nice, but don’t we think that Yara and the Prince of Dorne are going to declare their own independence within like 48 hours of this “Great council meeting”? Both Kingdoms love declaring independence, they have for over a century.

I like Jon beyond the wall - because the Wall doesn’t need a Watch with a giant hole in it, the wildlings are pretty cool with the northerners and the Night King is Dead.

More importantly, the wall is no longer part of the seven kingdoms, the wall is part of the North - So, technically isn’t is sansa’s decision to send Jon to the wall.

Also - Grey Worm got played — he let them elect Bran King and then Bran was like you can’t kill Jon.

Bronn gets Highgarden - Seems like there have been an unusually high number of warden’s of the south. good luck to Bronn.

Small Council - Bronn (Master of Coin), Brienne of Tarth (King’s Guard), Sam (Maester), Tyrion (Hand), Davos (Master of Ships). Is Bran going to “warg into Drogon” - he mentions that he’ll try to find them.

Tormund lives, Jon is reunited with Ghost, the Unsullied ship off for Naath.

Unanswered question - was Tyrion a Targaryen?  Can Sam still be with Gilly if he’s a Maester? What’s up with Daario Naharis in Mereen?

Last one - what happened with Meera Reed. Bran’s the king, she lugged him to safety time and time again. Lost her brother, and he sent her packing.

Would Cersei Winning or the Night King winning have been more satisfying than this ending?

The Starks were down 3-0 in the series at one point. Ned died, Catelyn and Robb died. Sansa went through hell. Bran was stuck in a tree and Hodor saved him. Rickon never had a shot. The dire wolves were all dropping like flies. Jon got stabbed by his own men at Castle Black, Arya went blind and was being hunted by an assassin. Yet. at the end of the day, when the winds of winter blow, the lone wolf dies but the pack survives.

And now it’s spring in the realm and they’re going back on their separate ways. Jon gets to be free. Sansa is a queen. Bran is the King and Arya is going to the edge of the world on adventures. The Starks were the first “good guys” of this series. And they for the most part won. People should be happy for them.

Wine, Wall & Dragons - Season 8, episode 5 Podcast

Wine, Wall & Dragons Season 8 Episode 5 - the penultimate episode of the entire series

Have a feeling this episode might be an epic of GOT

Places listening: Cherry Hill, NJ wins big, Cornelius NC and Charlotte NC, Barcelona, Ashfield Australia, Makati City Philippines, Alexandria Egypt,

United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, Spain, Egypt, Philippines and finally Iran.

Varys is writing a note to send via Raven about Jon’s true identity. A little girl appears to be working with Varys on poisoning Dany’s food. Varys has made “his choice”.

Jon Snow returns - he and Varys are chatting on the beach. Varys wants “the right ruler on the iron throne”. Every time a Targaryen is born the world holds its breath.

Jon says, “she is my queen”

Tyrion tries to see Dany in the Dragonstone “Map Room”. Dany knows exactly how Varys found out. They’ve got Dany looking “Strung out”. She’s fixated on getting the “Win” at all costs.

Greyworm and the unsullied come and get Varys. He knows he’s in trouble. Leave’s his rings behind.

Tyrion “tells on himself” to Varys. Varys says “he hopes he’s wrong. Good bye old friend.” Takes it like a pro.

Drogon pops in out of nowhere and burns Varys to a crisp.

Dany, sitting by the fire - she gives Greyworm Missende’s necklace. He throws it in the fire. Jon Snow comes by for a chat.

Jon says, “i don’t want it”. “Far more people in Westeros love you than love me.”

Jon and Dany with another love scene gone awry.

Tyrion is trying to “reason with Dany”… she’s playing for blood. Tyrion begs her to call of the attack if they ring the bells. She never verbally agrees with that request.

Dany tells Tyrion that she’s captured Jamie. “Next time you fail me, will be the last time you fail me.”

Meanwhile at King’s Landing, Cersei is opening the gates for all kinds of “Small-folk” to use them as a deterrent for a siege. Probably not a good look for those folks.

Dany’s army has gotten bigger again. Davos is in the house.

Tyrion asks Davos for a Favor.

Hound and Arya arrive to the party.

Tyrion wants to be alone with Jamie. Tyrion is going to release Jamie. Jamie’s back to being a heel. Tyrion has an escape plan for them. Tyrion is a dumb dude. He’s trying to do the right thing, but he’s aligned with the wrong people to do it.

Ominous Cello Music - and there’s Euron Greyjoy.

Arya and the hound rolling right into the City - he’s wearing a hood, she’s not. Jamie rolls into the city.

Golden Company (Sans Elephant) are ready.

Cersei looks out onto the City — she’s feeling pretty Glib it seems.

Jamie Gets shut out of the City — Arya and Hound are the last two into the walls.

The wind picks up. Euron looks at the sky, Drogo is in Free Fall — Navy shoots and missed and Dany is Blowing up ships left and right with Drogon.

The Gates of the city explode - Drogon goes nuclear on the Golden Company. Elephant wouldn’t have mattered.

I kind of love it!

Tyrion walking amidst the bodies outside the walls. Kyburn tries to tell Cersie it’s over. She’s in full delusion mode.

Jon is in a standoff with the Lannister Men. Lannister’s Tap out

Slow Motion - Dany coming straight for the Read Keep

Bells Ringing but she’s come too far — i agree with Dany’s decision to come for Cersei — but burning the people in the streets seems a bit much. And Grey Worm Snaps and the the fighting resumes. Bloodshed upon bloodshed.

Once you defeat the Night King. Humans really aren’t a match any longer.

Cersei realizes she is no longer the coldest killer in the 7 kingdoms.

Full Heel turn — but i still feel like Dany is an antihero versus a villain.

Jon is horrified. He has to kill one of his own guys.

Jamie and Euron  have a standoff. Of course Euron comes ashore at the exact spot Jamie’s at.

Jamie gets stabbed with his own sword?

Cersei keeps saying the Red Keep is safe place. Has she seen Drogon?

Kyburn takes Cersei to Maegor’s Holdfast.

Jamie gets stabbed again. But drives a Sword all the way through Euron… he says “another King for you, but I got you.” “I’m the man who killed Jamie Lannister”.

Quite the showman

Hound and Arya - He saves her from herself perhaps? “Sandor, thank you”

Here we go! Clegane Bowl. “Hello Big Brother”

The Mountain Smashes Kyburn like a bug!”

Cersei leaves, Hound v Mountain

Jamie shows up for Cersei — it’s pretty pathetic that they give these two “a hero’s embrace”.

Hound puts sword all the way through the mountain… he’s not quite phased. Pulls sword back out.

Arya gets trampled upon. Hound is in trouble vs. mountain. Both fighting for the lives.

Cool how they show Arya and Hound taking similar “bumps” in their respective battles.

Hound stabs mountain like 12 times.

Mountain does for the eye ball smash.

Hound puts knife in mountains head.. He pulls it out.

Hound flips and charges him, they both fall out of a tower and into a raging inferno

Arya is alive and covered in ash and blood. Probably in concussion protocol. She avoids a tower closing in on her. Ends up with a bunch of scared civilians including the lady who saved her. She’s gonna lead an escape of the city.

The Dothraki are having a field day in the city.

Jamie and Cersei are in the Basement in the hold fast with all of the Dragon Skulls. Jamie’s way out is sealed shut.

Cersei wants her baby to live, and doesn’t want to die. She had like a million chances for it to not come to this.

Jamie “Nothing else matters, only us.” Jamie and Cersei get buried under the entire castle.

Arya somehow still alive - Looks like she’s in the will Smith movie where he’s the only person left in NYC.

Arya finds a lone horse - that’s fortuitous. Is this horse real? Or is she dead? She rides out of dodge.

Fade to Black - hell of an episode. Jamie, Cersei, Varys, all dead. Mountain, Hound, Euron, Kyburn, all dead.

Wine, Wall & Dragons Season 8 Episode 2

Cindy is “so nervous”

#DragonSeason #PeepingBran

If last week was to help get us caught up on the plot, this week was to give us one more trip down memory lane with all of the characters we love, before they become zombies.

Opening - Jamie is on Trial before Dany and the Starks

Jamie says Cersei lied, and talks about the Golden Company

Bran “the things we do for love” call back from 2011

Brienne of Tarth - sticks up for Jamie - vouches for him. Jon Snow backs Sansa. Dany isn’t happy on bit.

Bran is PEEPING - odd scene

Tyrion admits that “he’s a fool” not a traitor.

Gendry is making Dragonglass Weapons to the sounds of ominous music. Arya shows up. Some odd “tension” - and Arya is asking about fighting white walkers, wha they’re like etc. - I know death, i look forward to seeing this version

Jamie and Bran at the Weirwood tree. Jamie apologizes. You won’t be able to help us in this fight if I let them murder you first.

How do you know that there is “an afterwards”?

Tyrion walking the yard in Winterfell and talking with Jamie. Jamie and Tyrion are talking about Dany and Cersei.

Tyrion is thinking about the reality of dying at Winterfell.

Jamie and Brienne checking out Podrick’s sword work.

Dany and Jorah Mormot have a meeting. (There’s been a fireplace next to Dany in each of her first two scenes).

Dany and Sansa conversation - Families are complicated. We’re at odds with one another, why? Who manipulated whom? Someone taller line about who loved Dany.

“What about the North?” from Sansa — BOOM! this is a big issue.

Theon shows up - at worst possible time. Sansa is pumped to have Theon back.

Davos serving food to the folks at winterfell, and recruiting soldiers.

Little girl with facial scars - wants to fight. Gilly convinces her to “defend the crypt”.

Dolorus Edd and Tormand show up — Jon has a great reunion. “The Big Woman still here?”

Bran - the Night King will come for me. He wants an endless night. He wants to erase our memory.

Bran is gonna lay a trap in the Godswood. Theon is gonna guard him.

Tormand - we’re all going to die, at least we’ll die together.

Tyrion pulls up a chair to hear about Bran’s journey

Grey Worm and Missandre - the northern girls seems weirded out. Greyworm is looking to “retire to the beach” after this war is over.

Sam and Jon: “You told her yet?”

Tyrion and Jamie “I wish father were here”.

Tormand and Brienne - spitting hot game. I killed a giant when i was 10 and climbed right into bed with his wife… Giants MILK - LOLZ x 1,000

The Hound and Arya chatting on the wall. Berric Dondarion shows up. And Berric apologizes. I”m not spending my final hours with you two miserable old sh*ts.

Gendry makes Arya her weapon. Gendry tells her he’s Robert Barratheons’ bastard. Arya and Gendry are about to get it on.

Back at the “fireside chart” - waiting for a little “Show me the way to go home” from Jaws. And Tyrion literally suggests a song? Podrick delivers

Tyrion says “I think we might live”. Jamie “knights” Brienne of Tarth.

Jorah getting scolded by his cousin Lyanna Stark. Sam gives Jorah his family’s Valaryan steel sword.

Jon and Dany in the Crypts - awkward AF - BAD TIMING — with the Army of the Dead coming

It’s dragon season so #DragonSeason

How bad were people craving Game of Thrones - Dan and Dan Ruttle watched the final episode of Season 7 in a storefront on south street in Philadelphia with a drifter  who was drinking a liter of vodka.

Who flies the 3rd dragon? Jon Snow, Tyrion, Bran? Maybe Dany and Jon’s love child?

We’ve been promised a WTF moment? Is it Cersei getting killed by Night’s King (when he drops into Kings Landing via dragon?)

Is it Jon or Dany dying while engaged in a dragon fight with Night’s King? Lots of Dragon fighting in this Fire & Blood prequel book i’m reading at the moment.

A hope for spring is likely the last episode - I think Dany or Jon or their love child is back on Dragon Stone, or more likely smuggled away to Essos with 3 more dragon eggs.

I think there’ll be a hint of a new generation of Dragons to win back Westeros.

I think the Night King wins… but the Epilogue is that summer will come again, as will the "Targaryen Snow Love Child”.

True Detective Season 3 Finale podcast and Game of Thrones season 8 hot takes

True detective season 3 finale - podcast

The one eyed man wanted to be “killed or taken to jail” but wasn’t.

The ending was happy for Julie - and that was the plot twist. 1) it was surprising 2) it was pretty unsatisfying- does that make us “jerks”

Did they ever really talk about what happened to Hays’ wife, Amelia Reardon?

Julie did get a happy ending - but pretty much nobody else did.

Season 1 characters were deliberately mentioned shown by the crime reporter.  This excites me in the sense that with these worlds connected, perhaps we’ll get a season 4 and those characters could somehow be involved again.

Game of Thrones predictions- GRRM has two books that are unfinished, “the winds of winter” and “a hope for spring”

Based off of those alone - my prediction is a dark season in which almost all of the characters we care about are killed (likely by the Night’s King/ Army of the Dead/ White Walkers).

I think Dany having 2 dragons and the fact that she’s likely going to have a child with her nephew Aka Jon Snow are the two biggest factors for “an eventual hope for spring”.

I think we see a glimpse of whatever that hope is at the very end... but I think Westeros goes to the nights king north of the Neck.

The best worst case scenario - Dany has the ability to defend dragon stone - but all of Westeros goes “zombie”.

Nothing good will happen for the living until Cersei is dead - also burn Cersei- cuz she def shouldn’t get to come back as a white walker.

Will Cersei and Kyburn make some deal w the  night king?

Will Bran be a force for good or is he the Nights King?

True Detective Season 3 podcast (spoiler alert thru Episode 6)

True Detective Season 3 podcast - through episode 6

Going back to the concept of following the same main characters at multiple time periods in their lives was the absolute right move. This may have been the secret sauce of season  1, because this season is clever and original, but borrowing that angle is really helping.

Season 2 had nothing to do with it and of course - season 2 was a nightmare. The only thing I remember from our 2015 podcast in which you and i spoke at the end of the final season 2 episode was you starting the interview with and I quote, “It was so bad, it was so bad, it was so bad.”

I like the 3rd moment in time (old age in 2015 for the characters), in addition to the 1980 and 1990 vantage points, which are much like the season 1 time difference.

Mahershala Ali plays Detective Wayne Hays to a tee. Stephen Dorff as Roland West - great to see Stephen Dorff again.

I didn’t necessarily have a problem with the casting in season two as much as the lack of “Cleverness”.

Creator Nic Pizzolatto is also directing a lot of this season’s episodes and they’ve been good.

Season 2 came out in 2015 about 18 months after season 1 debuted in January of 2014.

HBO did a great job of giving Pizzolatto essentially 3.5 years to develop, film and release season 3. That was, I think the missing piece of season 2… they had to rush, and that killed the cleverness.

I'm not as creeped out by this season yet, but after episode 6 I kind of like where it’s going. It’s like I know where it’s going, but still think i’ll be pretty surprised. I think Hays and West are going to be seen in a really “negative light” by whatever “that thing they did” in 1990.

Fun Fact: They filmed in Arkansas near Fayetteville and U of Arkansas. Apparently Pizzolatto went to college there and wrote the episodes with that area in mind.

Carmen Ejogo as Amelia Reardon. Really like her portrayal of this character. Also interesting theories that this character is involved with the murder of the Purcell by and the disappearance of Julie Purcell.

Tidbits - the framing of the Vietnam vet Woodard biting them in 1990 with Julie’s reappearance

The mother definitely seems in on the disappearance

I feel really bad for the father , Tom Purcell, played by Scoot McNairy - tough road of it.

Is Westworld good? Even HBO mustn't be sure any more

Topless podcast - in honor of summer time

Is anybody on this show worth rooting for any longer? Bernard no, Delores not really, Charlotte Hale no, Dr. Ford (wildcard), Man in black - prob not - but i can see HBO wanting us to turn in favor of him. All i see is Maeve,  and they may have ruined her character or at least her storyline.

What do you want to see happen in the next 2 episodes to get you back in?

Do you even wanted them to succeed? Or would you be secretly bummed if they did?

Westworld should be a Netflix show - it’s too dense to keep track — and the "binge ability” of netflix would help viewers retain important details.

Episode 8 June 9, 2018

Man in Black - shot to pieces, crawling towards a street. For an old man — he’s resilient

Ghost Nation guy  finds Man in Black — he tells man in black “i remember you” — prob not gonna be good for him

Ghost Nation also has Maeve’s Daughter - daughter having flash backs when Maeve was her mom

British writer guy is trying to save Maeve

Ghost Nation dude gives us his origin story - another back story that was nice and went to hell in West World

Ghost Nation guy found the “westworld” map/ center of the maze design — and then they gave the ghost nation guy a “new life” - and made him a warrior.

Ghost nation dude finds William’s brother in law dude - Logan — can’t believe we’re circling back to pick him up

Ghost Nation guy found the passage to the real world aka Delos “base”

Tries to leave with his “former wife” from a former “life” - kidnaps her - Washes off his war paint - to win her back - yada yada yada

Ghost Nation dude’s name is Ake — and he tells her that he thinks he found the way out of westworld

Delos stole his lady friend before they could escape  - and they replaced her with someone new — so he lost his lady. We get it HBO it’s a cruel world for these robots

Maeve’s Daughter helped Ghost Nation dude “on his darkest day” — ok so that’s a “loop closer” - which i guess is nice.

Heart Shaped Box on the piano — they love Nirvana on the Piano on this show

Ake lived for 9 years without dying in his narrative - interesting — he also finds all the decommissioned hosts — lost of “weener shots” but he finds his lady Kohana - but she’s decommissioned.

British writer guy “finds Remorse” for Maeve’s plight. What is the purpose of this show ??? But then - Maeve is “awake and playing possum”

Ake is spreading the “gospel of the Woke” — the symbol of the man inside the maze — and he and Dr. Ford get to have a “face to face”

Anthony Hopkins says - Keep watching, for a while longer — is that a plea to us as viewers ????

Who is the “Deathbringer”? Delores / Wyatt ??

Man in Black’s Daughter  shows up to barter for her dad. Love how she’s fluent in their robot/ native langue // She’s going full heel turn on the man in black (or so it seems)

Back to Maeve - in the lab — on the operating table - Charlotte Hale shows up — and it looks like she programed Ake to watch over her daughter - cliffhanger ending - does Maeve die or live??? Tune in for Episode “niner” methinks

Episode 7 June 2, 2018

The episode in which Doctor Ford comes back inside of Bernard - he essentially tells bernard “he’s not up to survival” - kinda like delores telling that to Teddy.

I’m pissed about how they built Maeve up to bring her down so unceremoniously

Opening Handsome Security guy and Bernard - can picked up by bald “park emergency damage control guy”

Charlotte Hale and the aforementioned crew discover that Bernard has a zillion “droid versions of himself”

Charlotte Hale essentially water boards Bernard - tries getting info from him

Tactically “badass team” gets absolutely WORKED by Delores’ crew

Dr. Ford makes a reappearance - And explains to Bernard that the guests are the experiments and the hosts are the controls

Ford calls the human mind the last analog device in a digital world

The hosts essentially are there so that humans can become “immortal”

Dr. Ford promised “bernard a fighting chance and he wants to make good on it”. The Valley Beyond is where they’re all going, why? “isn’t the pleasure of a story discovering the end yourself, Bernard?”

Man in Black / show down with Maeve and her daughter - she does an unbelievable job at showing the man in black a world of pain — but he lives and she essentially is left for dead again — this is when it turned for me — but episode 8 gave me a little promise

As good as Maeve is with her host control — she sucks against humans.

System “debugged itself” which is essentially Bernard absorbing Ford’s consciousness

The Delores / Charlotte Hale Face to Face is pretty good

Can’t believe Charlotte and Handsome Security guy (ashley) escape - Especially since all other humans got wrecked

Delores lets Maeve Live — I think that’s important

bernard’s inner conflict with dr. ford is annoying — and bernard is gonna lead charlotte hale and delos to the Valley Beyond

Episode 6 May 27, 2018

Delores and Bernard flash back to him being frightened about what she might become/ says is she outgrows “this place, what will become of you?”

But Delores is now in charge of Bernard - and she’s “testing him” instead of the other way around — and she uses the line that young william used on his father in law in episode for. This is a test, what are you testing for, fidelity?

We’re back at the saloon and Delores is playing the piano and “new Teddy walks in” - he’s all business.. She seems more confused than pleased with his transformation.

Handsome security guy back in the now destroyed base and Charlotte Hale just showed up. Only “a week” has elapsed since the Ford shooting in season one. Charlotte Hale has Abernathy. She also has a “tool to call for help” to Delos.

The security guys Nail abernathy with nail gun to the operating chair

Next Shogun world - Maeve’s group has murdered all of the shogun’s people - Akane kills herself to mourn her daughters death ???? No…. she might’ve cut out her dead daughter’s heart “WTF?”

Maeve goes to rescue her friends — but we get a samurai fight instead - fun to get a sword fight - but I don’t care about the characters, so I don’t care about the sword fight

Good samurai beats bad samurai for those keeping score at home.

Man in Black, his daughter and Laurence are all on horse back — Man in Black thinks that his daughter is a droid - she shoots some ghost nation dudes.

Bernard and Elsie touring the “base/ control center” - heavy exposition in this episode thus far.

“QA” is fighting “the cradle” in terms of hacking the systems - essentially that’s why the humans can’t get things under control.

Maeve’s crew is walking towards a mount Fuji type replica. Writer dude and the two tech assistant humans are looking for a portal out of their situation. There’s a Coy Pond and Akane drops her daughter’s heart off in sometime of shine there. The shoguns aren’t going with Maeve — SOOOOO again, why the departure to Shogun World.

William’s daughter and he at the Campfire. She has potential beef with Charlotte Hale. She definitely is a bit of moral adversary to Man in Black’s thirst for the robot’s fighting back. But, she also said that she shouldn’t have blamed the mom’s death on him. She’s looking to “take him home” and keep him from committing suicide by robot. Man in Black seems to be agreeable to leaving WestWorld for “the beach” to get out. That seems very far fetched. And it is — Man in Black leaves his daughter while she sleeps.

Elsie and Bernard are at the “Cradle” aka a hive mine / server room of all the Droids and Ford or Bernard put data there. Bernard is having a flash back. The “Ball” Bernard “lifted” from sector 23 is something he’s remembering. And Elsie and Bernard just hooked his brain up to the mainframe. Bernard is now on the “west world entry train” We’re literally back at the first episode first scene

Handsome Security guy runs into new commando unit guy named Coughlin.

Maeve and the crew escape from Shogun world through a portal back to a cemetery in west world - it’s her old stomping grounds prior to the saloon arch. Maeve is going to find her daughter “alone” without her crew… again much ado about nothing // Maeve finds her old house on the prairie

She’s talking to her daughter (is this girl really here)? Oh man she is — and she’s got a replacement mom. And the Ghost Nation is about to attack them — WHY CAN’T MAEVE CONTROL  GHOST NATION - CAN’T SHE CONTROL ALL OF THEM??? That’s a flaw in the story it seems

British writer guy sis calling for “help” from QA.

Delores and Teddy are on the train heading somewhere

Man in black under attack from the Ghost Nation guys

Special Ops team gets the map back up,,, in time for delores’s train caper - which she crashes into the base

And Bernard is back in the first scene of the series following Delores — and Dr. Ford is playing the piano at the end of the episode ??? Weird - long way to go - not sure we needed shogun world
