Best Front Man of All-Time Volume 2

Greatest Front man ever volume 2 - rounding out slot 9-16 in the tournament field

Already in the Dance: David Lee Roth, Freddy Mercury, Axl Rose, Mick Jaggar, Jon Bon Jovi, Chuck D, Chris Cornell and Steven Tyler are in

Nominees by the fans and pundits of the show: Kurt Cobain, Bono, Scott Weiland, Eddie Vedder, Dave Grohl, Robert Plant, Anthony Keidis and several more

All of these artists were nominated by the fans - but only got about 2% of the vote each — Gwen Stefani, Stevie Nicks, Lionel, Phil Collins, Michael Stipe, Chris Martin, Layne Staley, Mike Patten, Iggy Pop, Maynard James Keenan

Artists with 5% of the vote - Anthony Keidis

Artists with 7.3% of the vote - Dave Grohl and Robert Plant (Springsteen got 7.3% of vote - not eligible)

Artists with 9.7%  - Prince - also ineligible

Artists getting 12.2% of the vote Eddie Vedder, Scott Weiland and Bono

Artists getting 17% of the vote Kurt Cobain

We have 8 slots left - if we allow the fans to speak (which we’re all about on this show) Cobain clearly won the popular vote — so he’s gotta be in — that’s 9

If we keep it rolling with the fans - Eddie Vedder, Scott Weiland and Bono are all on the next group in - I say Bono for sure, I say Scott Weiland for sure — Eddie i think we push towards the bubble as the selection committee? DO you agree??

If we let in Bono - that’s 10 spots filled, 6 remaining and if we let in Weiland that’s 11 spots with 5 remaining

I think Grohl and Robert Plant have waited long enough — i move to put them the dance only 4 slots or 3 slots left, if Weiland is in.

So, now we’re looking at a bubble of Eddie Vedder, Anthony Keidis  both of whom should probably get in… though i’m having trouble with Vedder. But the debate is Gwen, Stevie, Lionel, Phil Collins, Chris Martin, Michael Hutchens and Roger Daltry of the who — i’m bringing those 2 back in

Hot Take on Grohl vs Cobain - I like Foo Fighters better than Nirvana. I agree that Dave Grohl has become a better front man… but, what if none of it would’ve happened without Kurt Cobain. Kurt Cobain gave Grohl a platform and Grohl ran with it — but there’s an argument that Curt was good and made Nirvana so big, that he is the reason Dave is even in our consciousness. Curt is an ICON — part of what hurts his case is a brief career — but part of what helps his case is his brief career

Hot Take on David Lee Roth — ultimately he was replaceable. Sammy wasn’t as good, but he made people forget about Dave. And Dave, didn’t hold up well as a solo artist or even in his rebooted VH appearances.
