What a day- what an event - made it to mile 24 prior to the leaders arriving - they where flying - like 12 miles an hour flying

Props to the Boston Gooners for having a remote arsenal party / marathon party - especially since Lir, their home bar was taken over for the marathon.

Edna Kiplagat 38 of Kenya won women's 2:21 mins

Geoffrey Kirui 24 of Kenya won men's 2:09 mins

Both used sub - 5 min miles to break away in the final 5-6 miles of the race

Jordan Hasay 25 - 2nd fastest American debut of all time in a marathon - 3rd place

Galen Rupp, 21 - second place - six American men placed in top 10

Meb's last race - 2014 champ around 40 years old. Good for him - keflaghizi is a tough last name - my bad if I got it wrong

Katherine Switzer- 50th anniversary of her first run - she ran a 4:20 50 years ago and 4:44 in 2017 at 70 years old.

Some do nots for fans - Don't go for a jog on the route. That's whack

Do go to house parties on the route - meats/ cheeses/ beer, wine and liquor it's all good

Do cheer on the masses running. They need it and it feels good to give em some love.

Do plan to travel on foot and use the T as much as possible

Don't expect uber rates to be anywhere close to normal post race

Also the heroine addict issues in Boston now are profound and terrible - we are better than this - and I have no idea what the answer is- but there's gotta be an answer

Tincup mountain whiskey commercial. Dudes are straight up mountain climbing. Yeah I'm gonna pass on getting cranked on whiskey during my climb - but you guys go ahead. Something tells me that drinking while Mountain climbing - is at Least as bad as drinking while driving
