West World Episode 3 Notes

In Production Shows- Game of Thrones season 7 - and apparently some “Reece Witherspoon Vehicle” called big little Lies #BigLittleLies - going to be a limited series. I’m probably “in” 

First scene - Dr. Lowe is speaking to Delores - Gives here a gift - it’s the book “Alice in Wonderland” - she reads from it. It ends, “if i’m not the same, who in the world am I?”

Delores asks where “Lowe’s son is now”? 

Next scene is back in West World at Delores’ family home - She grabs a giant .44 magnum that she has stashed- and she remembers Ed Harris/ Man in Black hurting her. 

“William” talks to “Pennyfeather” and is walking around, seems taken by “wanted posters. - A host takes Pennyfeather hostage and starts shooitng people. William gets shot (and knocked down) but kills the dude — and Pennyfeather has a “my hero” moment with him. Is the Sherrif Josh Brolin or a Josh Brolin “imposter”

William is going to go fulfill the bounty on Slim Miller while the brother in law keeps his drinking and cranking fest going.

COO lady is talking to Lowe - Looks like Dr Ford (Hopkins) has taken swathes of 50% of the story lines and the “board” is not ok.

We learn from Ellen Page lookalike woman that the mil bottle host killed 6 hosts who’d killed him in previous story lines.

Teddy (aka Marsden) and some lady sidekick blow a dudes brains out in the streets. 

Thandie Newton has a memory of Teddy in the “West world holding tank” from the week before. (Memories of the hosts seems to be the absolute key to whatever is going to go down)

Teddy and Delores reenact their seen from the first episode again - this time she asks if the world is “Calling her for something more”. Teddy mentions a place down south - where you can start over. She says she wants to go there “now” vs “someday”. 

They go bc to Delores parents house for the reenacting of the “gun fight” - fade to back and Teddy is back with Dr Ford. Ford tells us that Teddy has Died over 1,000 times. Hopkins tells Teddy he’ll never ‘have a good life’ with Delores. He tells Teddy his role is to keep Delores from leaving. Hopkins seems to be giving Teddy a chance to be part of a “new narrative” 

Uploads a new narrative of “Wyatt” into Teddy. Sounds like this will be the religion angle

Teddy is teaching Delores how to shoot- but she can’t pull the trigger (like physically). The Sheriff shows up on a man hunt for “Wyatt” and of course, Teddy leaves with the posse.

He says he’ll come back “someday soon’ and she is clearly bothered by his use of “someday”.

Ellen Page girl and “security”/ handsome guy - are “in Westworld” tracking down a lost group of  hosts”. But she notices something interesting (and puts it in her pocket, a carved piece of wood, unsure why) - Turns out the carving is “constellation of Orion"

Teddy and the posse happen upon some decaying host bodies that “wyatt” tied to trees. A shoot out ensues. 

Handsome security guy continues to search for a “host on the run” 

Bernard Lowe approaches Dr Ford - mentions an “Arnold” who is an imaginary person. the malfunctioning hosts are speaking to him. Turn out that Arnold was Ford’s biz partner and he was kicked out of the company. Sounds like Arnold wanted to create consciousness  - and tried to give the hosts an inner monologues that they’d believe they are the voices of the gods. Arnold died in the park - he became a reck-loose - only talked to the hosts and he may have “Killed himself” 

We learn that Lowe’s son Charlie has died recently and that it weighs heavily on Lowe. He calls his wife (or ex-wife) and they talk about his dead son. Says, “this pain is all i have left of him”.

Ellen Page girl take a wiz and discovers a disoriented host 

Teddy’s crew is attacked by some scary looking dudes - dressed up all crazy - huge guys — seem to be “Undead”, perhaps and they killed Teddy Brutally.

Delores is asked for help by Bernard Lowe. Tells her he wants to wipe her memory - says she’ll be free when she figures out who she is. But she essentially talks him out of it, without knowing it. He basically tells her she’s evolved and it’s time to see where it leads. Gonna be interesting. 

Delores goes back to re-enact her ‘loop’ of hosts killing her parents- she’s off script and now bypassing her ability to pull the trigger - she shoots the guy in the throat. She sees a guy kill her mom and she gets shot (but it heals ASAP) she rides off on a horse 

Handsome security guy goes into crevice to retrieve lost host - and he saws the hosts head off - or tries, but the host wakes up from sleep mode. HE then smashes his  own head with a bolder. 

McPoyal’s brother in law mentions that the park costs $40k a day. Delores comes out of the woods and finds McPoyal and his brother in law - Show ends 

Week 4 scenes look baller - Lowe tells Delores about the maze (the one the Ed Harris has been looking for)
